Seeds and More Seeds - the book

We have a new favorite book.  It is called Seeds and More Seeds and it is by Vincent Selsam. It was written in 1959.

 

In this book, the main character Benny figures out that seeds grow.  He experiments with planting different things, to see what grows.  Then, once he figures out that seeds grow, he plants different kinds of seeds.  In the middle he figures out that seeds grow into the kind of plant they came from, and at the end he grows his own bean seeds and is happy about it.

The book is lovely and warm and holds both of our attention through numerous re-readings.  I (I mean WE) highly recommend it.
