Hanging from that tree is a pine cone with birdseed and peanut butter (unsalted) on it. We mixed the birdseed and peanut butter, then slathered it onto the pine cone and wrapped the twine onto it.
We did a similar activity a couple of weeks ago.
The birds and squirrels came and feasted, and it was cleaned off within a couple of days.
